Don't take our word for it. Our passion speaks for itself!
I love the library! It’s such a great place to take my toddler every week to socialize, and even some of the adult activities! The ren fair, Litcon ect. are so much fun! I’m always looking forwards to events that are being held there!

The library means a (mostly) quiet (mostly) peaceful place, surrounded by my favorite things (BOOKS!), with other people who love books as much as I do. The staff and volunteers do so much for our community...I think a lot of people don't realize all the things that the library provides and offers for us. It's just a warm and welcoming haven from the crazy world.

It means being able to armchair travel when you want to go but can’t. It means solving a mystery when you feel like being a sleuth. It means enjoying the lives of families when reading series books like “Virgin River - Dare Valley Series” etc. it means digging up new recipes in your many recipe books. It means digging in history books, exploring the history of just about anything and anywhere….I love civil war history! It means having a staff always ready to help find books and just giving a smile when I need one. It means, as a senior citizen, having a means to have my taxes done free by very professional, kind, tax preparers. There is so much more, this could become a book! 😊

A place where the whole family can enjoy and learn. We really love the library. I’ve been visiting for about 14 years and I’m really happy of how our library has changed for good. Thank you Mr. John! We appreciate all you have done for the library!

Community! We all come together for the amazing events they plan for all of our community. For all ages, boys and girls all enjoy the library. My kids love to be there and know it’s their safe place to play and read their favorite books.

I don’t live in Greenville anymore, but I did my whole life until 3 years ago. Walworth library has been a place I’ve gone since I was a child and now I get to share with my own children! It’s been a place I can meet my needs, like printing papers, using the computers, or check out textbooks. It’s been a refuge in the summer for my kids to do activities while I go back to school! It’s just been an incredible place. We can’t wait to come back this summer. My son’s favorite thing is the smash bros tournament, and my daughter had a blast last summer searching for Lego man every week! I wish we still had a library card but it’s okay! Tons still to do!

I love all the activities you provide to everyone in the community. I love listening to books on the apps you have. I love the archive room & that I found my great grandfather’s photos in his college yearbook that I didn’t know existed!! I love the puzzle swap table! I can’t wait to do more research on my history.

The library is of the greatest equalizer within the community. It provides knowledge, resources, internet, community experiences and learning opportunities across all ages and at no direct cost to the people that use it.

It's somewhere that brings people in the area together, it hosts events and helps others socialize and connect and with such a small town I'm glad we have it to bring everyone together! :3

W. Walworth-Harrison Public Library is one of the first places I visited when I moved to Greenville. There, I was able to use computers to view homes to rent, print important documents and browse what jobs were available. The staff have always been helpful and friendly, and I appreciate being able to use my library card to access Hoopla, Libby, Kanopy and now CloudLibrary. Thank you for all you do! <3

It’s a critical part of learning. The library provides incredible value to our community, and in the era of the digital age, it’s wonderful to go and read hands-on.

It is the ideal third space. A place of relaxation, connection, and growth where no expectations are put upon guests (beyond common courtesy). It is a place to enjoy without the obligation of making a purchase or producing, which is exceedingly rare. To me it means simply existing in a space without demands being placed upon me and that is my ideal form of freedom.

It was my safe space, my haven, my solace from the tumultuous life I had at home. It was my teacher, my window to the world, and my friend. It is my sacred space.

The library helps our family build a love of reading and new community bonds. We came initially for the books, and then we found out about the Greenville library's exceptional programing for people of all ages. We've enjoyed game nights, the writers club, LitCon, the annual Fantasy Faire, summer reading challenges, and other events throughout the year. With the digital access, we've been able to find classic television programs we can watch for family movie nights that we haven't been able to find on any of our streaming services. Similarly, our family checks out audiobooks for long car trips and eBooks to read while waiting at doctors' offices. Through the Greenville library, we've discovered and supported local authors we never would have found out about otherwise. This library is a gem, and I look forward to seeing how it grows in the future.

It is a fun place to get books for my kids and myself. I can ask questions and always get a helpful response, and the librarians seem like they genuinely love their jobs!

The library has always been a place for me to take my children to encourage reading and be able to have fun! Some of the staff have known my family for almost 15 years. The activities and fellowship have made so many memories that I will forever be grateful for!

My kids and I love the library! It has so much packed into one building. It's educational, fun, relaxing, and free. What more could you want? The library is an important community hub for me. We love the events for kids the most. It's basically a free bookstore where I never have to tell my kids we can't afford something. It's always clean and welcoming. The library is my favorite place in Greenville!

It’s a place to go that my kids and I feel safe and can let out our energy. On rainy days or right before pay day. We love to come to the library and see what’s new. There is always an event or a new thing happening. On the off chance there isn’t something happening, there’s always a coloring page or a book or even the computer. Plus, there are so many awesome resources. Friends ask me where to find things around the community, and I tell them to ask the librarians. Love y’all!

A place for Community and making friends, education, immersing yourself in brand new worlds through books, exciting programs for children to attend year-round which I love as the library really invests in the children of the community.

The library means a lot to me. It’s a place where I can both work on my graphic design projects and find inspiration through books and community events. I have fond memories of visiting as a child, and I appreciate how it fosters creativity and learning.
